Parmi les monuments les plus particuliers d'Aix-en-Provence figure le Théâtre Nô. Il a été offert en 1992 à la ville d'Aix-en-Provence par la famille Kano, dynastie réputée de l'art ancestral du Nô
Among the most peculiar monuments of Aix-en-Provence is the Théâtre Nô. It was offered in 1992 to the city of Aix-en-Provence by the Kano family, renowned dynasty of the ancestral art of No.

The scene of the Théâtre Nô of Aix-en-Provence is made of cypress wood from Japan (hinoki), original, built and used in the country of the Rising Sun. This gift of great brand was the starting point of many exchanges with Aix-en-Provence. Indeed, the No Theater is an important element in the relations of the City with Kumamoto city.

Its installation in the Parc Saint Mitre will mark the stage (the butaï) and its envelope as a cultural element in a vast natural ensemble, allowing the search for synergies with its natural, patrimonial and urban environment.
