MAC Arteum - Museum of Contemporary Art.
Since 1990, the Arteum museum of contemporary art has promoted Art in the magnificent rooms of the château (17th century) of Châteauneuf le Rouge town hall.
The ARTEUM museum (Artistes Représentatifs des Tendances et Unités Méridionales – Artists Representing Southern French Trends and Unity) has a collection of 100 works, the earliest by painters of Marseille's Péano and Quai de Rive Neuve, and the contemporary works of plastic artists living in the Provence-Côte d'Azur region. The museum has a permanent collection of works by artists from 1900 to the present day.
There is also a reconstruction of the studio of painter Arsène Sari. This artist, born in 1895, was advised by Renoir and Guillaumin....

Opening times and Prices
From 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2023, every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 2 pm and 6 pm.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th.
Open during exhibitions.
