Lush is an English company of fresh, handmade cosmetics, 100% vegetarian and not tested on animals, founded in 1995 by 6 cosmetics enthusiasts and fervent defenders of the animal cause : Mark Constantine, Mo Constantine, Rowena Bird, Helen Ambrosen, Liz Bennett and Paul Greeves. The Lush brand succeeds the mail order company Cosmetics To Go, created and inspired by the same team.
At the heart of this avant-garde entrepreneurial project, the desire to offer a responsible alternative to traditional cosmetics by offering innovative and high-performance beauty products, based on a unique concept: handmade and the use of fresh ingredients. 100% vegetarian such as fruits and vegetables, as well as ethically sourced herbs, flowers and essential oils.
At Lush, 95% of products are vegan and 100% of seasonal collections! The teams work daily to rethink formulas in order to push the limits of cosmetics thanks to multiple innovations (solid shampoo and massage oil, the choice of aquafaba to replace eggs and the art of auto -conservation of cosmetic products, etc.).
Since opening the first Lush store in Poole, Dorset, where it still is, the company has grown to be present in 50 countries today.
